George LaCour, OTR, CHT graduated with a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1997. In 2003, he received his Certification in Hand Therapy. George worked for 9 years at a state-funded charity hospital where he served as Director of Rehabilitation. It was during this time that he faced the many challenges of being a manager which allowed him to develop effective strategies for staff development, fiscal planning, and human resource management. George has successfully designed and implemented computer software for clinical documentation. In addition, he has experience in JCAHO and HCFA compliance. Currently, George has moved into the private sector where he works in a busy orthopaedic and sports medicine clinic. He devotes his career to patient care, research, and education.
